Intelligent Compression Technologies Inc. (ICT) has added three key executives to its management team to support company growth and development as it capitalizes on the demand for its AcceleNet® WAN acceleration products. The new appointees, Vijey Sarathy, chief financial officer; John Wright, senior director of support; and Laura Whitcher, director of marketing, will work closely with ICT president Michael Slygh. ICT provides network optimization for enterprise and service provider wide area networks.
ICT, a division of ViaSat Inc. (NASDAQ: VSAT), developed AcceleNet® WAN optimization and application acceleration client software to speed application and file-sharing experiences to remote and mobile workers. Already deployed with more than 2.5 million users, it boasts one of the most comprehensive suites of WAN acceleration technology in the industry – boosting performance by up to 50 times.
“The growing numbers of work-from-home and traveling professionals are shifting the market demand from site-to-site WAN optimization appliances to software clients for remote and mobile users,” said Slygh. “Appliance vendors without a mobile client are moving to capitalize on the opportunity and the ICT AcceleNet client is fast becoming the product of choice to strengthen their portfolios. These additions to our management team ensure business success for our new OEM partners as well as contributing to our direct sales channels and raising awareness of our own brand across the globe.”
Vijey Sarathy is responsible for the company’s financial statements and controller functions. He brings more than 20 years of financial management, accounting, and business development experience from previous positions with HCL America, Gulf Computers, Grasim, Videocon, Nestle, and Price Waterhouse.
John Wright will head up all pre- and post-sales technical operations. He has more than 15 years experience building and managing support organizations and delivering technical services to global enterprises. Prior to ICT, he held senior customer service and system engineering management positions at Bay Networks, Xylan/Alcatel, Springtide Networks/Lucent Technologies, and Chantry Networks/Siemens.
Laura Whitcher is responsible for the company’s marketing and public relations initiatives. Following an 18-year tenure at Motorola, she held senior-level marketing positions at Vanguard Managed Solutions and Applied Innovation Inc. Laura has proven experience helping companies reposition their core messaging to align with evolving business strategies and has managed partner marketing relationships with AT&T, Cisco, Ingram Micro, Juniper Networks, and Lucent.
“There has never been a better time at ICT,” Slygh concluded. “We are honored to have the solid leadership and unique skills that Vijey, John, and Laura bring to our team. Our first priority is to build up our resources to facilitate our product’s successful growth and we look forward to helping our partners win in this expanding and competitive marketplace.”
