Intelligent Compression Technologies, Inc. (ICT), the industry leader in software-based WAN acceleration, announced today the availability of Release 3.3 of its highly acclaimed AcceleNet product at Gartner’s Symposium ITXPO 2007.
The latest release of the company’s widely deployed acceleration technology incorporates new innovations to benefit both enterprise end users and system administrators, including:
- patent-pending HTTP pre-fetching techniques that boost performance of web browsing; enterprises experience service-provider-class pre-fetching as well as the highest pre-fetch ratios for sites already visited;
- intuitive system administrator tool kit that gives complete, centralized control of client configurations, licensing and software downloads;
- expanded CRM/ERP application support for SAP;
- added support for Microsoft Vista and CE client operating systems
AcceleNet, already deployed with more than 2.5 million users, boasts the most comprehensive suite of WAN acceleration techniques in the industry today:
- application-specific accelerators for key enterprise applications including CIFS/SMB file shares, email, HTTP and HTTPS, CRM/ERP, Lotus Notes, Citrix and more;
- patented format-specific file compression engines that exploit advance knowledge of file formats to analyze and optimize compression;
- persistent, bi-directional delta data compression (“byte caching”) to significantly reduce the amount of data transferred when files are updated frequently;
- network-aware transport protocol that recognizes whether an end user is using cellular, dial-up, satellite, or high-speed WAN connectivity and adjusts to ensure the fastest acceleration.

AcceleNet Release 3.3 is available for immediate delivery. The product was first introduced to the market in 2002.
