Intelligent Compression Technologies, Inc. (ICT) has announced the release of Version 2.0 of the industry's performance leading data acceleration product at the CTIA Wireless IT show today. AcceleNet™ data acceleration software uses advanced compression and protocol optimization technology to deliver 'broadband'-like speeds on narrowband networks, which for service providers and enterprises can make the difference between a usable and unusable remote access service.
Release 2.0 adds a host of new features and functionality including an enhanced server management and reporting package, multiple language support, faster speeds, further streamlined installation, and customizable client software to support the needs of distributors and resellers. Release 2.0 complements the clientless or server-only version of AcceleNet™ released several months ago.

AcceleNet™ uses a combination of:
- Patented, high performance, application-aware compression to reduce the size of the data being transferred,
- Application protocol optimization to reduce the overhead and size of the popular web application data, and
- Transport protocol optimization to remove the latency experienced in wireless networks.
The result is a product which enables effective average throughput speed gains of 3-5x on web browsing and even greater on Emails with attachments, typically averaging throughput speeds of 120kbps and higher, for example, on 2.5G networks.
