Ken Gamache
General Manager
Ken is responsible for managing ViaSat’s AcceleNet division in Quincy, MA, where he has primary responsibility for financial performance as well as strategic and tactical planning. Ken is a long-time ViaSat employee (1989) and he founded ViaSat’s Marlboro Engineering Center in Marlboro, MA which he also manages. Ken is a Worcester Polytechnic Institute graduate with a background in statistical communication theory. He has a broad knowledge of a wide range of ViaSat products and systems both commercial and government, including a variety of satellite communications systems, network security products (in-line network encryptors) and, more recently, network acceleration technologies.
William Sebastian
Chief Technical Officer and Co-Founder
Bill has developed many of the algorithms and advanced architecture at the heart of the AcceleNet technology and he spearheads the technical innovations at ICT. Bill is the holder of or applicant to a number of key U.S. Patents including U.S. Patent 6,253,254 B1, one of the core patents behind ICT's AcceleNet technology. Previously, he created and managed his own engineering company that developed hardware and software for industrial automated test systems for clients in Europe and the United States. Additionally, Bill was president and founder of VSS, an imaging company, from it's founding in 1991 until the founding of ICT in 1996. Bill has contributed to the industry reference "XML Handbook," has delivered major presentations on acceleration technology, and has authored papers for the Data Compression Conference. Bill studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Vijey Sarathy
Finance
Vijey joined ICT in July 2007 and is responsible for the company’s financial statements and controllership functions. He brings more than 20 years of financial management, accounting, and business development experience to the company. Prior to ICT, Vijey was financial controller for HCL America’s government division and was the finance and accounts manager of Gulf Computers in Dubai, United Arab Emirates where, during his tenure, he transferred to the United States to support Y2K related business opportunities. In his early career, Vijey held positions of increasing responsibility in India with Grasim, Videocon, Nestle, and Price Waterhouse. He holds a B.A. in commerce from the University of Madras and is a Chartered Accountant in India and a U.S. Certified Public Accountant.
Peter Lepeska
Product Development
Peter is responsible for all AcceleNet product management and engineering. An accomplished manager and programmer with over 14 years of business and scientific applications development, Peter has played an instrumental role in the development of AcceleNet by introducing many of the core components in the system. Peter has also been a major contributor to product focus and strategic market vision for AcceleNet. Peter has a B.S. Degree in Physics from the University of Wisconsin.
Mark Wilson
Sales
Mark Wilson is responsible for overall sales leadership and new business development at ICT. He joined the company in 2007 after 23 years at Nortel where he held various management/director positions of increasing responsibility in contract management, R&D, customer service, business operations and the CTO office. Mark is a graduate of Algonquin College School of Business in Ottawa.
David Lerner
Product Management and Business Development
David is responsible for AcceleNet product management and business development. Prior to joining ViaSat, David co-founded Certeon, a WAN acceleration company, where he was responsible for product management and sales operations. Before Certeon, David led the product strategy and management of InfoLibria's award-winning content distribution networking products and he managed the international military satellite communications business at Raytheon. Earlier in his career, David held various engineering and management positions and he founded Versatile Software Systems, where he pioneered the development of the company’s handheld computing devices.
Laura Whitcher
Marketing
Laura spearheads all messaging, demand creation, and sales support activities to enhance the company’s effectiveness in the pursuit of new business. She has spent more than 20 years in the network communications industry holding positions in all aspects of product and service creation and promotion. Laura joined ICT in 2007 following positions with Applied Innovation Inc., Vanguard Managed Solutions, and an 18-year tenure with Motorola. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
John Wright
Customer Support
John is responsible for pre- and post-sales technical operations for ICT and for establishing the company’s support partnerships with key OEMs. He has more than 15 years experience building and managing support organizations and delivering technical services to global enterprises. Previously, John held senior customer service and system engineering management positions at Bay Networks, Xylan/Alcatel, Springtide Networks/Lucent Technologies, and Chantry Networks/Siemens. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Nichols College.
